the 2008 Parks, Recreation and Cultural Plan update prior to Council voting.
He also asked whether it was common for members of Council to support
recommendations at a Commission vote and then vote opposite to their vote
at Council.

Mayor Robson advised that members of Council vote in what they consider to
be the best interest of the community regardless of what has been done in the
past.
The General Manager of Community Development, Parks and Recreation
Service advised that public consultation will be part of the Parks, Recreation
and Cultural Plan update process. A public hearing would only be held should
the Plan result in a change to the Official Community Plan.
Mr. Pledge asked whether Council will give consideration to holding a public
hearing with respect to the 2008 Parks, Recreation and Cultural Plan.
Mayor Robson reiterated that a public hearing would be held if there was a
change to the Official Community Plan.
