Although resolutions may be passed at this meeting, the intent is to make a consensus decision to send an item to Council for debate and vote or refer the item back to staff for more information or clarification. NOTICE OF CLOSED COUNCIL MEETING The meeting will be closed to the public pursuant to Sections 90 (1) and 90 (2) of the Community Charter as the subject matter being considered relates to the following: Section 90(1)(c) Labour relations or employee negotiations. Section 90(1)U) Information that is prohibited or information that if it were presented in a document would be prohibited from disclosure under Section 21 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Any other matter that may be brought before the Council that meets the requirements for a meeting closed to the public pursuant to Sections 90 (1) and 90 (2) of the Community Charter or Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. 9. The Mayor chaired the meeting from Council Chambers. Note: Councillor Mead us was absent at the start of the meeting. 1. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA R/2021-WS-044 It was moved and seconded That the agenda of the May 11, 2021 Council Workshop Meeting be approved as circulated. ADOPTION OF MINUTES 2.1 Minutes of the April 27, 2021 Council Workshop Meeting R/2021-WS-045 It was moved and seconded That the minutes of the Council Workshop Meeting of April 27, 2021 be adopted as circulated. CARRIED 3. PRESENTATIONS AT THE REQUEST OF COUNCIL -Nil 4. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUS/NESS 4.1 Quarter 1, 2021 Financial Update Presentation and staff report dated May 11, 2021 providing a financial update for the first quarter of 2021. C. Nolan, Corporate Controller, provided a presentation on the Quarter 1, 2021 Financial Plan and staff responded to questions from Council. 4.2 Quarterly Corporate Update -Q1 2021 Presentation and staff report dated May 11, 2021 providing a corporate update on the advancements to Council's strategic priorities during the first quarter of 2021. M. Orsetti, Director of Bylaw and Licensing Services, M. Lewis, Executive Director, Human Resources, C. Goddard, Director of Planning, and V. Richmond, Director of Parks & Facilities, presented on accomplishments completed in the first quarter of 2021 as they relate to the five pillars of the Council Strategic Plan, and staff responded to questions from Council. Note: Councillor Mead us entered the meeting at 11:37 a.m. Council Workshop Minutes May 11, 2021 Page 3 of 3 4.3 Tandem Parking Staff report dated May 11, 2021 recommending that the attached report dated May 25, 2021 titled "Zone Amending Bylaw No. 7564-2019, Off-Street Parking and Loading Amending Bylaw No. 7565-2019, Tandem Parking Garage Units Within Townhouse Developments Policy" be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 25, 2021. M. Baski, Planner, provided a presentation and staff responded to questions from Council. R/2021-WS-046 Moved and seconded That the attachment to the May 11, 2021 Council Workshop report titled "Zone Amending Bylaw No. 7564-2019, Off-Street Parking and Loading Amending Bylaw No. 7565-2019, Tandem Parking Garage Units Within Townhouse Developments Policy" be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 25, 2021.
