CARRIED
The Tech Task Force is attempting to set up a new branch which will center on
Innovation. They are also working on some ideas with regard to creating a Tech Hub in
the downtown core. The idea is to have a physical space with a kiosk or container which
will showcase different types of products, businesses, or topics which are Technology
related. This idea is in the very preliminary stages and it was suggested that, once the
ideas is more conceptualized, it be brought to the EDC.

4. Terratap Proposal
Terratap Technologies is interested in having Maple Ridge, along with 5 or 6 other
municipalities, become involved with a new technology which will standardize a platform
that can be used for App Development. Having this platform will allow for the
development of Apps that can be used to service several different communities on the
same subject, for example, trails. People could look up trails in several different
communities using the same App. The EDC members suggested that the Tech Task Force
would be the best group to assess this as their knowledge would be more appropriate.
R18-010
It was moved and seconded
That the proposal from Terratap Technologies be taken to the Tech Task Force for
consideration.
