That the minutes of the Maple Ridge Environmental Advisory Committee meeting dated
April 10, 2019 be adopted.

6. NEW AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1. Green Infrastructure Walkabout
Members of the Committee participated in a Green Infrastructure walkabout in the Maple
Ridge Town Centre. Participants provided feedback to the staff liaison.
6.2. Review of Communications and Outreach Subcommittee Strategic Plan
Kirk Grayson, Chair
Mr. Grayson gave a presentation that reported out on the subcommittee’s strategy objectives
and work program to ensure it fits within Council’s strategic priorities.
6.3. Review of Green Infrastructure and Natural Asset Inventory and Evaluation Subcommittee
Bill Hardy, Chair
Mr. Hardy gave a presentation providing an outline of the Green Infrastructure Strategic
Objectives which are in line with Council’s strategic priorities. The staff liaison advised that the
Scoping Reports are going to Council in Fall 2019.
6.4. Review of Ecological Network/Wildlife Management Strategy Subcommittee Strategic Plan
The staff liaison provided an update on this subcommittee. The subcommittee is refining and
updating the Strategic Management Plan in September 2019.
7. STAFF LIAISON UPDATES
7.1 Metro Vancouver Regional Planning Environmental Advisory Committee (RPEAC)
The staff liaison provided an overview of the RPEAC Meeting he recently attended.
7.2 BCIT and UBC Urban Forest Inventory and Evaluation
The staff liaison provided an update on the partnership between the City of Maple Ridge,
BCIT and UBC to continue the inventory and research of urban forests.
