Barb advised that Bruce McLeod had pointed out that landscape plans for the

plan be upheld at least until the artwork was in place, at which time alternate
landscaping and plans for its care could be reconsidered.

an initial step in drafting the agreement.

Barb advised that it was at times difficult to move forward with projects in light

500 LIONS’ EAGLE – UPDATE
Barb advised that Ray Morrissette had responded to the Committee’s offer in writing
of $2000 to assist with their campaign to obtain an Eagle for Maple Ridge. In
response to his questions, It was pointed out that the funds would be made available
only until the end of 2010, and that they would have to be applied to the Eagle that
they had sought in the Spring, as this particular sculpture had particular relevance to
the District. . He also asked if the committee to increase their commitment as he
appeared doubtful the additional funds could be raised at this stage.
Motion and seconded
THAT the offer of $2000 be re-affirmed subject to such funds being applied to
the purchase of the original Eagle rather than a substitute.
