The Staff Liaison called the meeting to order at 5:05 pm. Quorum was not achieved.

Maria Kovacs entered the meeting at 5:08 pm.
6. UNFINISHED BUSINESS
6.1 MACAI Awards Selection
Nominations and plans for the ceremony were discussed. The Accessibility
Awards will be held June 8th at Maple Ridge City Hall.
6.2 Accessibility Survey Results Review
Results of the survey were reviewed. Themes that emerged from the data
collected will contribute to the next MACAI business plan.

7. NEW BUSINESS
7.1 MACAI Membership Update
Staff Liaison Petra Frederick provided a status update on Committee
membership.
7.2 Changes to Transit Passes for Those with Disabilities -Request from Council for
Feedback on Correspondence Received
A letter was from a member of the public to Council was reviewed The letter
requests that Council advocate to the provincial government to reverse changes
recently made to transit passes for those with disabilities. It was agreed by
those present that MACAI recommends to Council that a letter be forwarded to
the appropriate provincial agencies expressing great concern with the
requirement for residents on PWD to purchase transit passes.
7.3 Curb Cut Recommendation
Greg Turnbull brought forward a recommendation for a curb cut on 224th Street.
The Staff Liaison will share the information with Engineering.
8. CORRESPONDENCE
The Staff Liaison shared details of a June 4th volunteer appreciation event.
9. ROUNDTABLE
Mike Murray-reported on School District business related to accessibility.
Councillor Speirs -June 11th is the reopening of the Whonnock Lake recreation area.
10. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 6:34 pm.
