COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT Councillor Chelsa Meadus Alex Ward, Chair Don Mitchell Katie Sullivan Kim McLennan, Vice Chair Carolina Echeverri STAFF PRESENT Stephane Labonne Tony Cotroneo Krista Gowan Arsh Dhillon ABSENT 1. CALL TO ORDER -4:30 PM 2. APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA R/2022-MACAI-0 12 It was moved and seconded Council Liaison Member at Large Member at Large School District 42 Board Trustee Fraser Health Representative Family Education and Support Centre Representative General Manager, Parks, Recreation and Culture Acting Staff Liaison, Manager of Community Engagement Planner 1 Committee Clerk That the agenda for the September 22, 2022 Municipal Advisory Committee on Accessibility and Inclusiveness Regular Meeting be approved. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 3. ADOPTION OF MINUTES R/2022-MACAl-013 It was moved and seconded That the minutes of the Municipal Advisory Committee on Accessibility and Inclusiveness Regular Meeting dated June 16, 2022 be adopted. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 4. DELEGATIONS 4.1 Parking Bylaw Update K. Gowan presented on the Off-Street Parking Bylaw. Topics included: recent updates, current trends, recommendations and accessibility parking provisions. Committee members engaged in discussion, asked questions and provided feedback. Labonne joined the meeting at 4:55 pm. 5. NEW AND UNFINISHED BUSINESS 5.1 Committee Membership Review A. Dhillon provided an update on the MACAI membership recruitment process and progress. 5.2 2022 Work Plan Deliverable A. Ward provided an update on the MACAI Awards and Maple Ridge Low-Cost Directory. 5.3 2023 Workplan Process (SOAR) T. Cotroneo facilitated the discussion for the 2023 Work Plan utilizing the Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, and results (SOAR) Analysis. Topics of discussion included: community and societal trends or gaps, committee assets, future goals and outcomes. T. Cotroneo will generate a draft 2023 Work Plan using the discussion points for the MACAI to endorse at the next regular meeting. R/2022-MACAl-014 It was moved and seconded That the Municipal Advisory Committee on Accessibility and Inclusiveness create a 2023 Work Plan Task Force. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 5.4 2022 Work Plan Deliverable Item discussed during Item 5.2. 6. LIAISON UPDATES 6.1 Staff Liaison S. Labonne provided an update on the following: • Community identified needs and concerns for the PRC Master Plan. 6.2 Council Liaison -NIL 6.3 SD42 Liaison K. Sullivan provided an update on the following: • Youth career development opportunities and post-secondary institutions. • SD42 saw increased student enrollment for the school year. Mitchell provided an update on the computer program for seniors, City collaboration with a mapping process, and senior involvement in local Canada Day and Earth Day celebrations. 7.2 Awards Task Group Item discussed during Item 5.2. 8. QUESTION PERIOD FOR THE PUBLIC -NIL 9. ROUNDTABLE Committee members discussed issues relating to accessibility and inclusiveness. 10.
