PUBLIC WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Note: The following items have been numbered to correspond with the Council Agenda: 1101 RZ/004/06, 12142, 12170, 12140 203 Street; 20468 122 Avenue, First Extension Staff report dated May 12, 2009 recommending that a one year extension be granted for rezoning application RZ/004/06 to permit a 21 lot subdivision under the P-2 (Special Institutional), R-1 (Residential District) zone. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. Committee of the Whole Minutes May 25, 2009 Page 2 of 4 1102 AL/011/09, Application to Exclude Land from the Agricultural Land Reserve, 23375 124A Avenue, 12498 232 Street and 124 76 232 Street Staff report dated April 23, 2009 recommending that application AL/011/09 to exclude 4.87 hectares (12.0 acres) of land from the Agricultural Land Reserve not be forwarded to the Agricultural Land Commission. Orlando Johannson, Applicant Representative Mr. Johannson distributed a handout to Mayor and Council which provided background and details on the application. He provided reasons why he felt the application should be forwarded to the Agricultural Land Commission. The Planner provided zoning information on the property. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. Councillor Speirs -OPPOSED 1103 Award of Contract, Barnsdale Street Sanitary Sewer Extension, Local Area Service Staff report dated May 14, 2009 recommending that Contract E04-010- 065:1: Barnsdale Street Sanitary Sewer Extension, Local Area Service be awarded to Double M Excavating Ltd. and that the Corporate Officer be authorized to execute the contract. RECOMMENDA T/ON That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. 1104 Award of Contract, Brown Avenue Extension Phase 2 Staff report dated May 15, 2009 recommending that Tender ITT-OPS09-100, be awarded to Tag Construction and that the Corporate Officer be authorized to execute the contract. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. Committee of the Whole Minutes May 25, 2009 Page 3 of 4 1105 4th Annual Iron Mountain Triathlon Staff report dated April 21, 2009 recommending authorization for the use of municipal streets for the 4th Annual Iron Mountain Triathlon on Sunday, June 21, 2009. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. 1106 Canada Day Event Staff report dated May 1, 2009 recommending authorization for the use of municipal streets for the annual Canada Day Event on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. 1107 Caribbean Street Festival Staff report dated May 15, 2009 recommending authorization for the use of municipal streets for the Caribbean Street Festival on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, 2009. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. 3. FINANCIAL AND CORPORATE SERVICES (including Fire and Police) 1131 Disbursements for the month ended April 30, 2009 Staff report dated May 8, 2009 recommending that the disbursements for April 2009 be approved. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. Committee of the Whole Minutes May 25, 2009 Page 4 of 4 1132 Tax Rate Bylaws -Maple Ridge Road 13 Dyking District and Albion Dyking District Staff report dated May 8, 2009 recommending that Road 13 Dyking District Tax Rates Bylaw No. 6670-2009 and Albion Dyking District Tax Rates Bylaw No. 6671-2009 be given first, second and third readings. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of May 26, 2009. 4. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND ·RECREATION SERVICES 1151 Parks and Leisure Services Fees and Charges Staff report dated May 20, 2009 recommending that Maple Ridge Recreation Facility Fees Amending Bylaw No. 6664-2009 be given first, second and third readings.
