Guvi Mr. Guvi spoke on behalf of the Scott family. He provided a history of the 112 Avenue property and highlighted the issues the owners have dealt with since their property was designated park and school in the 2006 OCP. He requested that the District make a decision to purchase the property or release it from the current OCP designation. 2. PUBLIC WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Note: The following items have been numbered to correspond with the Council Agenda: Committee of the Whole Minutes October 5, 2009 Page 2 of 4 1101 RZ/087 /07, 23940 118 Avenue, First Extension Staff report dated September 23, 2009 recommending that a one year extension be granted for rezoning application RZ/087 /07. The Manager of Development and Environmental Services gave a Power Point presentation providing the following information: • Application Information • Neighbourhood Context • OCP Context • Site Characteristics RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 13, 2009. 1102 DP /045/06, 11566 224 Street Staff report dated September 23, 2009 recommending that the Corporate Officer be authorized to sign and seal DP/045/06 in support of a four storey, 35 unit apartment building, under the CRM (Commercial/Residential) zone. The Manager of Development and Environmental Services gave a Power Point presentation providing the following information: • Application Information • Neighbourhood Context • OCP Context • Site Characteristics • Elevations • Colour Rendering of Building • Landscape Plan RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 13, 2009. Committee of the Whole Minutes October 5, 2009 Page 3 of 4 1103 Excess Capacity/Extended Services Agreement LC 137 /09, 20370 Wanstead Street Staff report dated September 17, 2009 recommending that Latecomer Charges be imposed and that the Corporate Officer be authorized to sign and seal Latecomer Agreement LC 137 /09. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 13, 2009. 1104 28th Annual Haney-Harrison Road Relay Staff report dated September 8, 2009 recommending the use of municipal streets be authorized for the 28th Annual Haney-Harrison Road Relay, on Saturday, November 7, 2009. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 13, 2009. 3. FINANCIAL AND CORPORATE SERVICES (including Fire and Police) Note: Mayor Daykin excused himself from the discussion of Item 1131 as he is on the Board of one of the institutions named in the staff report. 1131 2010 Permissive Tax Exemptions Staff report dated September 17, 2009 recommending that Maple Ridge Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 6690-2009 be given first, second and third readings. The Manager of Business Systems reviewed the report. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 13, 2009. Committee of the Whole Minutes October 5, 2009 Page 4 of 4 Note: Mayor Daykin returned to the meeting 1132 Disbursements for the month ended August 31, 2009 Staff report dated September 22, 2009 recommending that disbursements for August 2009 be approved.
