Acharya, Planner 1. DELEGATIONS/STAFF PRESENTATIONS 1.1 Fraser Valley Regional Library Update -C. O'Kennedy, Library Manager The Library Manager provided statistics on library use over the months of August 2009 to August 2010 and gave a presentation of architectural drawings detailing future renovations to the library. Grootendorst, Fire Chief/Director of Operations -D. Spence, Fire Chief/Director of Safety The Fire Chief/Director of Operations gave a PowerPoint presentation providing an update of Fire Department activities for the months of April 1 to August 30, 2010. 2. PUBLIC WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Note: The following items have been numbered to correspond with the Council Agenda: 1101 RZ/078/10, 24211113 Avenue, RS-3 to RS-1 Staff report dated September 22, 2010 recommending that Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 6761-2010 to allow for future subdivision be given first reading and that the applicant provide further information as described on Schedules A, Band F of the Development Procedures Bylaw No. 5879- 1999. The Manager of Development and Environmental Services gave a Power Point presentation providing the following information: • Application Information • Subject Map • Neighbourhood Context • OCP Context • Site Characteristics • Preliminary Plans RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 12, 2010. 1102 RZ/079/10, east of 264 Street and south of 124 Avenue, RS-3 to RS-2 Staff report dated September 21, 2010 recommending that Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 6764-2010 to permit a future subdivision of 13 single family residential parcels be given first reading and that the applicant provide further information as described on Schedule A, C and F of the Development Procedures Bylaw No. 5879-1999. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 12, 2010. 1103 DVP/015/09, 13893, 13887 Silver Valley Road and 13910 232 Street Staff report dated September 28, 2010 recommending that the Corporate Officer be authorized to sign and seal DVP/015/09 to permit a height variance, allow the retention of an aboveground utility company plant on 232 Street and postpone construction of urban services along Silver Valley Road to the subsequent subdivision phases. Committee of the Whole Minutes October 4, 2010 Page 4 of 5 1104 DP/061/10, 21650 Lougheed Highway, Best Western Hotel Staff report dated September 23, 2010 recommending that the Corporate Officer be authorized to sign and seal DP/061/10 to regulate the form and character of a proposed renovation to add a pool and elevator. The Manager of Development and Environmental Services gave a Power Point presentation providing the following information: • Application Information • Subject Map • Neighbourhood Context • OCP Context • Site Characteristics • Site Plan • Design Plans RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 12, 2010. 1105 29th Annual Haney-Harrison Road Relay Staff report dated September 10, 2010 recommending that the use of municipal streets be authorized for the 29th Annual Haney-Harrison Road Relay on Saturday, November 6, 2010. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of October 12, 2010. 3. FINANCIAL AND CORPORATE SERVICES (including Fire and Police) 1131 Disbursements for the month ended August 31, 2010 Staff report dated September 10, 2010 recommending that disbursements for August 2010 be approved. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND RECREATION SERVICES 1151 Fraser Valley Regional Library Operating and Services Agreement Staff report dated September 29, 2010 recommending that the Corporate Officer be authorized to sign the Fraser Valley Regional Library Operating and Services Agreement for 2010.
