Staff report dated April 4, 2011 recommending that Maple Ridge Zone
Amending Bylaw No. 6803-2011 to allow for future development of
townhouse units be given first reading and that the applicant provide further
information as described in Schedules C and D of the Development
Procedures Bylaw No. 5879-1999.

presentation providing the following information:

RECOMMENDATION

1102 2011-029-DVP, 12835 Lilley Drive
Staff report dated April 4, 2011 recommending that the Corporate Officer be
authorized to sign and seal 2011-029-DVP to increase the allowable height of
a retaining wall to permit construction of an industrial building.
The Manager of Development and Environmental Services gave a PowerPoint
presentation providing the following information:

RECOMMENDATION

1103 Ministry of Agriculture Bylaw Standard for Residential Uses in the Agricultural
Land Reserve
Report dated April 4, 2011 from the Agricultural Advisory Committee
recommending that the report titled "Ministry of Agriculture Bylaw Standard
for Residential Uses in the Agricultural Land Reserve" be forwarded for the
Ministry of Agriculture for information.

The Planner gave a PowerPoint presentation and provided information with
regards to the concerns of the Ministry for large estate residential in the
Agricultural Land Reserve.
RECOMMENDATION
That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Workshop meeting of April
11, 2011.
1104 Contract Award: Pavement Rehabilitation Program
Staff report dated March 22, 2011 recommending that the extension to the
2010 contract for Pavement Rehabilitation be awarded to Imperial Paving
Limited.
RECOMMENDATION
That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of April 12, 2011.
1105 Untidy and Unsightly Premises Bylaw
Staff report dated April 4, 2011 recommending that the Maple Ridge Untidy
and Unsightly Premises Amending Bylaw No. 6806-2011 be given first,
second and third readings.
RECOMMENDATION
That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of April 12, 2011.

1106 Maple Ridge Solid Waste and Recyclable Materials Bylaw No. 6800-2011
Staff report dated April 4, 2011 recommending that Maple Ridge Solid Waste
and Recycling Regulation Bylaw No. 6800-2011 be given first, second and
third readings.
The Director of Licences, Permits and Bylaws gave an overview of the bylaw.
RECOMMENDATION
That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of April 12, 2011.
1107 Maple Ridge Fees Imposition Bylaw No. 67 48-2010
Staff report dated April 4, 2011 recommending that Maple Ridge Fees
Imposition Bylaw No. 67 48-2010 to implement a pavement restoration fee be
given first, second and thi rd readings.
RECOMMENDATION
That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of April 12, 2011.

Wendy Cook
Wendy Cook of the Peace Twig Fundraising Association circulated information
to Council regarding a proposal from the Association to purchase the Albion
Hall in an effort to save the building.
The Chief Administrative Officer provided an update and advised that unless
Council directs otherwise, staff will take the appropriate steps to demolish the
hall.
George Tickell
Mr. Tickell expressed concern regarding application RZ/2011-025, located at
24315, 24331, 24369 and 24387 110th Avenue. He provided photographs
and information regarding the fish, salmon, eagles, bears and amphibians
located in the pond and Dunlop Creek. Mr. Tickell further advised that
numerous wood duck nests, protected coastal lizards and Cottonwood trees
inhibit the area and was concerned that they would be overlooked.
