4.1 Appeal of Order of Cleanup, 20225 Ditton Street -Mr. Baldev Dhaliwal
The Director of Licences, Permits and Bylaws addressed the clean up order
issued for 20225 Ditton Street and provided a handout of photos taken to
show the current state of the property. He advised that the clean up order
was issued in response to neighbourhood complaints.
Mr. Baldev Dhaliwal -Property Owner
Mr. Dhaliwal advised that he has cleaned up this property in the past and that
this was usually done on an annual basis. He stated that he was not a
resident in Maple Ridge and that grass mowing and clean up on a continuous
basis was not an option for him. He expressed concern that the property he
owns is being unjustly targeted and spoke to other properties in the
neighbourhood in a similar state of disrepair.
The Director of Licences, Permits and Bylaws verified that the clean up order
issued for Mr. Dhaliwal's property was the result of a neighbourhood
complaint.
It was suggested that Mr. Dhaliwal meet with the Director of Licences, Permits
and Bylaws to discuss his concerns with other properties.
Mr. Dhaliwal indicated he would comply with the order.
