MINUTES 2.1 Minutes of the Council Workshop Meeting of March 2, 2015 R/2015-114 It was moved and seconded That the minutes of the Council Workshop Meeting of March 2, 2015 be adopted as circulated. CARRIED Council Workshop Minutes March 16, 2015 Page 2 of 5 2.2 Minutes of Meetings of Committees and Commissions of Council • Maple Ridge Community Heritage Commission Minutes of February 3, 2015 • Maple Ridge Social Planning Advisory Committee Regular Meeting Minutes of February 4, 2015 R/2015-115 It was moved and seconded That the minutes of the Maple Ridge Community Heritage Commission Minutes of February 3, 2015 and the minutes of the Maple Ridge Social Planning Advisory Committee Regular Meeting Minutes of February 4, 2015 be received. CARRIED 3. PRESENTATIONS AT THE REQUEST OF COUNCIL -Nil 4. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUS/NESS Note: Item 4.1 was forwarded from the March 2, 2015 Council Workshop Meeting 4.1 Albion Flats -History and Options Update Staff report dated March 16, 2015 recommending that the report be received for information and that the Planning Department prepare a detailed report on options for the area planning process in the Albion Flats. The Manager of Community Planning gave a PowerPoint presentation providing an overview of the report and providing the following information: • Background • Key dates and decisions • Policy Considerations • Options -Questions for Council • Next Steps 4.1.1 R/2015-116 It was moved and seconded That the staff report dated March 16, 2015 titled "Albion Flats -History and Options Update" be received for information. CARRIED Council Workshop Minutes March 16, 2015 Page 3 of 5 4.1.2 R/2015-117 It was moved and seconded That the staff report dated March 16, 2015 titled "Albion Flats -History and Options Update" be referred to the March 16, 2015 Closed Council Meeting. CARRIED 4.2 Maple Ridge Commercial and Industrial Strategy Implementation Plan Staff report dated March 16, 2015 recommending that the report titled "Maple Ridge Commercial and Industrial Strategy" be received for information. The Manager of Community Planning gave a Power Point presentation providing the following information: • Background • Strategy -Key Messages • Potential Employment Lands • Implementation Plan • Suggested Time Horizon Changes • Next steps R/2015-118 It was moved and seconded That the staff report dated March 16, 2015 titled "Maple Ridge Commercial and Industrial Strategy Implementation Plan" be received for information. CARRIED 4.3 Lower Mainland Local Government Association ("LMLGA") Resolutions Seven resolutions were submitted for Council discussion. R/2015-119 It was moved and seconded That the resolutions working group finalize submitted resolutions in conjunction with staff and that the final resolutions be approved by Mayor Read in consultation with Councillor Bell. CORRESPONDENCE 5.1 Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows School District 42 Correspondence Letter dated March 5, 2015 from Mike Murray, Chair, Maple Ridge & Pitt Meadows School District 42 providing clarification pertaining to required school sites in the Silver Valley and Albion neighbourhoods. R/2015-120 It was moved and seconded That staff be directed to prepare a report, working in conjunction with School District 42, to identify a school site in Silver Valley and an additional school site in Albion. CARRIED Note: The meeting recessed at 12:30 p.m. and reconvened at 3:01 p.m. 5.2 Upcoming Events Council identified which members of Council will be attending each session.
