Morden Councillor J. Dueck Councillor K. Duncan Councillor C. Meadus Councillor G. Robson Councillor R. Svendsen Councillor A. Yousef Appointed Staff C. Carter, General Manager Planning & Development Services D. Pollock, General Manager Engineering Services S. Nichols, Corporate Officer Other Staff as Required C. Goddard, Director of Planning Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all members of Council, with the exception of the Mayor, participated electronically. The Mayor chaired the meeting from Council Chambers. Mayor Morden called the meeting to order. The Corporate Officer explained the procedure and rules of order of the Public Hearing and advised that the bylaws will be considered further at the next Council Meeting on February 23, 2021. The Mayor then called upon Planning Department staff to present the following items on the agenda: 1) 2018-448-RZ, 12061 Laity Street Lot 130 District Lot 242 Group 1 New Westminster District Plan 47517 Maple Ridge Heritage Designation and Revitalization and Tax Exemption Bylaw No. 7532-2019 To provide heritage protection for the historic Gillespie Residence and allow for the construction of three courtyard housing units. The current application is to provide heritage protection for the historic Gillespie Residence and the construction of three courtyard housing units on the lot as permitted under the RT-2 (Ground-Oriented Residential Infill) zone. The Director of Planning gave a detailed description providing information on the application. The Corporate Officer advised that 97 notices were mailed out in relation to this application and that no correspondence was received on this item. The Mayor called for speakers three times. There being no comment, the Mayor declared this item dealt with.
