REPORT OF PUBLIC HEARING
December 6, 2022
The report of the Public Hearing held as a virtual meeting hosted in the Council Chambers of
City Hall, 11995 Haney Place, Maple Ridge, British Columbia on December 6, 2022 at
7:00pm.

Note: Councillor Dozie and Councillor Yousef attended the meeting electronically.
The Mayor called the meeting to order. The Corporate Officer explained the procedure and
rules of order of the Public Hearing and advised that the bylaws will be considered further at
the next Council Meeting on December 13, 2022.
The Mayor acknowledged that we are on the traditional and unceded territory of the Katzie
First Nation and the Kwantlen First Nation.
The Mayor then called upon Planning Department staff to present the following item on the
agenda:
1) Application 2019-366-RZ
11960 221 Street
Lot 2 District Lot 397 Group 1 New Westminster District Plan 8728
The subject application is to permit the rezoning to allow the future construction of a
triplex.

Second Reading: November 15, 2022
Purpose: To re-designate the subject property from Ground-Oriented
Multi-Family to Single Family Residential.
1b) Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 7604-2020
First Reading: February 11, 2020
Second Reading as amended: November 15, 2022
Purpose: To rezone the subject property from RS-1 (Single Detached
Residential) to RT-2 (Ground-Oriented Residential Infill).
Chuck Goddard, Director of Planning, gave a detailed presentation providing
information on the application.
The Corporate Officer advised this item was posted in the November 25th and
December 2nd editions of the local newspaper and that 150 notices were mailed out
and that no correspondence was received in relation to this application.
The Mayor called three times for public input.
There being no comment, the Mayor declared the Public Hearing on this item closed.
