PUBLIC WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Note: The following items have been numbered to correspond with the Council Agenda: 1101 RZ/120/04, 23553 Larch A venue Presentation of a staff report dated October 31, 2005 recommending that Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 6364-2005 to rezone the subject property from RS-3 (One Family Rural Residential) to R-1 (Residential District) to permit future subdivision into 25 lots, be read a first time and be forwarded to Public Hearing. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of November 22, 2005. Councillor Speirs OPPOSED 1102 RZ/065/05, 22138 and 22150 Dewdney Trunk Road Presentation of a staff report dated November 8, 2005 recommending that Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 6362-2005 to rezone the subject property from RS-1 (One Family Urban Residential) to RM-2 (Medium Density Apartment Residential) to permit construction of a four-storey, 58 unit apartment, be read a first time and be forwarded to Public Hearing. The Manager Development and Environmental Services gave a Power Point presentation providing the following information: • Application Information • Neighbourhood Context • OCP Context • Site Characteristics • Submitted Information • Site Plan • Design Plans The applicant's architect, Ron Allen, provided further background and design information. The Manager Development and Environmental Services gave a Power Point presentation providing application information. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of November 22, 2005. 1104 VP/025/05, 21497 -124 Avenue Presentation of a staff report dated November 2, 2005 recommending that the Municipal Clerk be authorized to notify qualifying property owners that approval of application to vary a series of requirements of the Subdivision and Development Servicing Bylaw and the Zoning Bylaw, will be considered by Council at the December 13, 2005 meeting. Committee of the Whole Minutes November 14, 2005 Page 4 of 6 1105 VP/095/05, 11330 -240 Street Presentation of a staff report dated November 2, 2005 recommending that the Municipal Clerk be authorized to notify qualifying property owners that approval of a variance permit to permit the reduction of the required lane right-of-way from 7.5 meters to 6 meters, will be considered by Council at the December 13, 2005 meeting. RECOMMENDATION 3. That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of November 22, 2005. FINANCIAL AND CORPORATE SERVICES (including Fire and Police) -Nil 4. COMMUNITY FORUM Bill Archibald Mr. Archibald spoke of the need for staff and developers to work with the equestrian community to maintain and enhance the horse trail network.
