4. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS
4.1 BC Assessment, 2005 Assessment Roll
Letter dated December 23, 2004 from Doug Rundell, Chief Executive Officer
providing information on the 2005 Assessment Roll.
The General Manager Corporate and Financial Services gave a Power Point
Presentation providing an overview of assessments and taxation. A copy of the
presentation was circulated at the meeting.
A CTI ON RE QUIRED
Staff is to give a presentation on Assessments and Taxation at the January
11, 2005 Council meeting.
S. CORRESPONDENCE
5.1 Ridge Meadows Youth and Justice Advocacy Association
Letter daLed December 23. 2004 from the Deputy Attorney General advising that
the Mini sn·y will not be continuing its financial support of the associations.
Council discussed the roles of the Provincial Government and local government
in fundingjustice programs.
ACTION REQUIRED
Mayo r Morse is to discuss the funding of th e Youth and Justice Advocacy
Association with MLA's Ken Stewart and Randy Hawes and report back to
Council.
