ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA The agenda was amended to include: 5.1 RCM.P, ''E" Division Crime Reduction Program 2. MINUTES R/06-97 Minutes It was moved and seconded February 27, 2006 That the minutes of the Council Workshop Meeting of February 27, 2006 be adopted as circulated. CARRIED Council Workshop Minutes March 6, 2006 Page 2 of 3 3. PRESENTATIONS AT THE REQUEST OF COUNCIL -Nil 4. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS 4.1 Campaign for Pesticide Reduction Requests The Director of Parks and Facilities circulated sample pesticide use control bylaws and provided background information on pesticide research. He recommended that Council consider developing a bylaw to control the cosmetic use of pesticides. The Director of Licenses, Bylaws and Permits spoke of the challenges that staff would encounter in enforcing such a bylaw. R/06-98 Pesticide Use Bylaw It was moved and seconded That staff be directed to prepare a bylaw to control the use of pesticides. CARRIED 5. CORRESPONDENCE 5.1 RCMP, "E" Division Crime Reduction Program A letter dated January 19, 2006 from Gary Bass, RCI\1P requesting an opportunity to make a presentation to Council on the RCMP Crime Reduction program was circulated prior to the meeting. Council indicated that Wednesday, March 29 would be its first choice of a meeting date for a presentation from the RCMP. ACTION REQUIRED Staff is to advise the RCMP and the District of Pitt Meadows that March 29, 2006 would be the preferred date for a presentation to the Maple Ridge Council. 6.
