Therefore, we ask that you act with the appropriate decorum that a Council Meeting deserves. Commentary and conversations by the public are distracting. Should anyone disrupt the Council Meeting in any way, the meeting will be stopped and that person's behavior will be reprimanded. The meeting is live streamed and recorded by the City of Maple Ridge. The current application is to permit future construction of 31 townhouse units utilizing Density Bonus provisions to achieve this density. Third reading BYLAWS FOR THIRD READING AND ADOPTION 1002 2020-008-RZ, 22222 Lougheed Highway Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 7615-2020 Site specific text amendment to Part 4, Section 401 (3) (h) ii, be amended to reduce the minimum separation distance between cannabis retail uses from 1,000 metres to 860 metres. Third reading and adoption Staff recommendation that the application for a non medical cannabis retail store by 1171712 BC Ltd., located at 22222 Lougheed Highway, Maple Ridge be supported and that a copy of the resolution be forwarded to the Liquor and Cannabis Regulation Branch in accordance with the legislative requirements. Council Meeting Agenda March 31, 2020 Council Chamber Page 8 of 8 PUBLIC QUESTION PERIOD The purpose of the Public Question Period is to provide the public with an opportunity to ask questions of Council on items that are of concern to them, with the exception of Public Hearing bylaws which have not yet reached conclusion. Council will not tolerate any derogatory remarks directed at Council or staff members. Each person will be permitted 2 minutes to ask their question (a second opportunity is permitted if no one else is sitting in the chairs in front of the podium). Questions must be directed to the Chair of the meeting and not to individual members of Council. The total session is limited to 15 minutes. Council reserves the right to defer responding to a question in order to obtain the information required to provide a complete and accurate response. Other opportunities are available to address Council including public hearings, delegations and community forum. The public may also make their views known to Council by writing or via email and by attending open houses, workshops and information meetings. Serving on an Advisory Committee is an excellent way to have a voice in the future of this community.
