Note: Councillor Carreras participated in the meeting electronically. 1. CALL TO ORDER -1:03 pm 1.1. Approval of the Agenda R/2023-S(C)-038 Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT the agenda of the July 18, 2023, Special Council meeting be amended to add a new Item 5.0 Chief Administrative Officer Update. R/2023-S(C)-039 Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT the agenda of the July 18, 2023, Special Council meeting be adopted as amended. 2. GENERAL MATTERS 2.1 Resolution to Exclude the Public R/2023-S(C)-040 Moved, seconded, and CARRIED THAT, pursuant to section 90 of the Community Charter, this meeting be closed to the public as the subject matters being considered relate to the following: • 90(1)(g) -litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality; Document: 3314140 Special Council (to Close) Meeting Minutes July 18, 2023 Page 2 of 2 • 90(1)(i) -the receipt of information that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; • 90(2)(b) -the consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations between the municipality and a provincial government or the federal government or both, or between a provincial government or the federal government or both and a third party. 3.
