DELEGATIONS/STAFF PRESENTATIONS 1.1 Kanaka Harbor Presentation, Claus Andrup, Rod Gruzelier 2. 2.1 Messrs. Andrup and Gruzelier described a project to develop a river front community in Albion called Port Kanaka. A copy of their presentation was distributed to Council. The General Manager Public Works and Development Services suggested that Messrs. Andrup and Gruzelier contact staff if they wish to pursue this project. STAFF PRESENTATIONS-(10 minutes each) Parks & Leisure Services Update Kelly Swift, Manager Marketing & Customer Service, distributed and reviewed a handout entitled "Recreation Division Statistics, 2003 and 2002 Comparison Estimate Quarter 4". Committee of the Whole Minutes December 15, 2003 Page 2 of 4 2.2 Financial Operating Report Catherine Nolan, Accountant III, gave a power point presentation of the Financial Performance Update as at November 30, 2003 3. PUBLIC WORKS AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES Note: The following items have been numbered to correspond with the Council Agenda: 902 RZ/033/02, Parking Standards for Office, Arts Centre and Theatre Staff report dated December 4, 2003 recommending that Maple Ridge Off-Street Parking and Loading Amending Bylaw No. 6147-2003 be given second and third reading. The Planner reviewed the details of the suggested amendments and described alternatives that Council could consider. The Director of Planning noted that the changes for multi-use developments are applicable across the municipality. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of January 13, 2003. ACTION REQUIRED A staff presentation is to be made on this item at the January 13, 2004 Council meeting. 4. FINANCIAL AND CORPORATE SERVICES (including Fire and Police) 931 Disbursements for the month ended November 30, 2003 Staff report dated December 4, 2003 recommending that the disbursements for November 2003 be approved. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of January 13, 2003. ··------. RECOMMENDATION That the staff report be forwarded to the Council Meeting of January 13, 2003. 5. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AND RECREATION SERVICES 951 Municipal Advisory Committee on Accessibility Issues -Change in Mandate and Structure Staff report dated December 10, 2003 recommending that Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows Municipal Advisory Committee on Accessibility Issues Amending Bylaw No . 6156-2003 be given three readings. CORRESPONDENCE OTHER ISSUES ADJOURNMENT-2:07 p.m. COMMUNITY FORUM Harry Nicholson Mr. Nicholson suggested that Council consider requiring that development along major roads, such as 240th Street, require further set back than presently permitted.
