Emergency Fire Dispatch and After Hours Emergency Call out Services

INVITATION
The City of Maple Ridge is inviting submissions from qualified and experienced service providers to
provide proposals for the operation of the fire dispatch service for the City of Maple Ridge Fire
Department. Included in this invitation is the ‘after hours emergency call out service’ (herein after
“AHECS”) for other City Services. The awarded contractor from this RFP will be required to work in
coordination with City staff to provide fire dispatch services for a five (5) year period with option to
renew for an additional five (5) year period. The first year of any new resulting agreement from this
RFP is targeted to commence January 2016. Subsequent years will be upon mutual agreement,
negotiated at the time of renewal.

A non-mandatory information session will be held on July 10, 2015 at the City of Maple Ridge
located at 11995 Haney Place, Maple Ridge, BC, starting at 9:30am. Proponents are asked to pre-
register for attendance on the Registration of Intent to Respond form found on the last page
of this RFP document.
Proposal documents are available for download from the BCBid website at www.bcbid.ca.
If your Proposal arrives after the closing date and time noted above, the City reserves the right
entirely at its discretion to give or not give such Proposals consideration.
Proposals transmitted by facsimile or electronic mail will NOT be accepted.
There will be no public opening for this Request for Proposal.
The City of Maple Ridge reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or to accept the Proposal
deemed most favorable in the interest of the City. The lowest or any Proposal may not necessarily be
accepted and the City will not be responsible for any cost incurred by the Proponent in preparing the
Proposal.
The awarding of a contract may be subject to the Municipal Council approving the award of a
contract to the successful Proponent. The City reserves the right to cancel this Request for Proposal,
without any obligation to any Proponent, should Council approval not be received.
