Cultural Plan Update 2017-2027
INVITATION
The City of Maple Ridge (herein after, the “City”) is inviting fee proposal submissions from qualified
and experienced arts and cultural consultants to work with the Culture Steering Committee,
stakeholders and City Staff to develop a new Cultural Plan Update 2017-2027 for the City that is
intended to strengthen, harmonize and raise the profile of cultural endeavours through systematic
planning. The development of this strategic Plan builds upon the City’s commitment to arts, culture
and heritage initiatives within the community and is consistent with the Official Community Plan,
Corporate Strategic Plan and Parks and Recreation Master Plan.
The awarded consultant from this RFP will be required to work in coordination with City staff, to meet
with relevant stakeholders, and conduct a public consultation process to develop the framework for
a renewed Cultural Plan Update 2017-2027 based on feedback, research and analysis.
The resulting report will become a public document and may or may not form part of any future
public consultation and or further architectural design RFP process(es).

Proposal response to be submitted on or before:

RFP Closing Time: 2:00 pm local time
RFP Deposit Place: Refer to RFP document
If your Proposal arrives after the closing date and time noted above, the City reserves the right
entirely at its discretion to give or not give such Proposals consideration. There will be no public
opening for this Request for Proposal.
The City of Maple Ridge reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals or to accept the Proposal
deemed most favorable in the interest of the City. The lowest or any Proposal may not necessarily be
accepted and the City will not be responsible for any cost incurred by the Proponent in preparing the
Proposal.
