Merkley Artificial Turf Field – Civil Works

The City of Maple Ridge (CMR) invites tenders to provide all labour, materials, and equipment
to construct the civil work and lighting as per specification for a new synthetic field at
Merkley Park. The scope of work does not include the supply and installation of synthetic
turf and shock pad, which has been procured separately.
The Work generally includes, but is not limited to, all site preparation including removals,
excavation and filling, permeable aggregate base, field and site drainage system, concrete
edge anchor, high-mast field lighting (Musco system), chain link fencing, players benching
areas, 90 stall gravel parking lot, asphalt and concrete work including pathways, pads, soft
landscaping and related works.
A NON-MANDATORY site meeting is scheduled for 11:00 am (local time) on June 29, 2017
Merkley Park (12970 124th Ave, Maple Ridge, BC). Attendance is NON-MANDATORY to
submitting a Tender response for consideration.
Tender Documents may be downloaded from BC Bid at www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca. All addenda,
amendments or further information will be published to BC Bid. Unverified bid results will be
available on BC Bid after Tender closing time.
The Tender Documents may be viewed at the Plan Room of the Vancouver Regional
Construction Association, 3636 East 4 Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5M 1M3.
Tender submission requires the accompaniment of a Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent
(10%) of the total Tender Price and a Consent of Surety to provide a Performance and a
Labour and Material Payment Bond if the tender is successful, each in the amount of fifty
percent (50%) of the Tender Price.

The City of Maple Ridge reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders or to accept the Tender
deemed most favourable in the interests of the City. The lowest or any Tender may not be
accepted and the City will not be responsible for any cost incurred by the Tenderer in
preparing the Tender.
