5.08 APPROVAL DATE: May 17, 1993 POLICY STATEMENT: In order for Municipal lands to be sold or leased by the Municipality, a description of the lands, and the lowest price or rental
which will be accepted for them, must be published at least once in a local paper, and must be posted on the notice board of the Municipal hall, court house, and police office, and
at any other place as may be directed by Council. An exception to this policy may occur if Municipal lands are to be leased for housing purposes PURPOSE: To set a policy to govern the
posting requirements for Municipal lands upon sale or lease. DEFINITIONS: The above policy follows sections 92, 538, and 543 of the Municipal Act, and need not apply to Municipal lands
intended to be sold or leased by public auction or tender.
