The Planner advised that the Statements of Significance for the Maple Ridge Heritage Register did not offer protection of heritage resources such as trees. She advised that should older trees become a hazard, an arborist would be asked for a recommendation. The General Manager of Community Development, Parks and Recreation Services confirmed that should an arborist indicate a tree has become a hazard, the tree will be removed. There was a discussion regarding remnants of land in the vicinity of the CEED Centre.
