He spoke to the everyday operations at the Ridge Meadows detachment, advised on the regional integrated police units and provided information on the policing aspects and security for the 2010 Olympics. The Assistant Commissioner also addressed police accountability and transparency and the issue of police investigating incidences involving other police members. The Manager of Corporate and Development Engineering reviewed the report. The General Manager, Public Works and Development Services advised on payment options available to homeowners involved with this type of Local Area Service. He also advised that if monies owed for the services are being paid through property taxes, the taxes will remain on the property should it be sold.
