He also attended the Spirit of the Wood Festival and a Cub Car Rally. Councillor Speirs spoke to an event on March 4 at Pitt Meadows City Hall to send off a canoe displayed at the Spirit of Wood Festival which will circumnavigate England and Scotland. He advised that the Rick Hansen Wheels in Motion event will be held in Maple Ridge this year. He advised that a report with recommendations from the Task Force will be coming forward to Council in the next few weeks. He also attended a River Road Open House and a public performance reporting workshop. He reminded all that February 27 is “Pink Day” to promote anti-bullying and encouraged everyone to wear pink.
