The Board of the Regional District in which the area covered by the plan is located, in the case of a Municipal Official Community Plan; ii. The Board of any Regional District that is adjacent to the area covered by the plan; iii. The Council of any municipality tha that is adjacent to the t area covered by the plan; iv. First Nations; v. School District Boards, greater boards and improvements district boards; and vi. That Bylaw No. 6813 6813-2011 be considered in conjunction with the Capital Expenditure Plan and Waste Management Pla Plan; n; 4. That it be confirmed that Bylaw No. 6813 6813-2011 is consistent with the Capital Expenditure Plan and Waste Management Plan; 5. CARRIED 1110 Municipal Equipment Purchase – Two Backhoes Staff report dated May 2, 2011 recommending that the contract for the purchase of two backhoe loaders and accessories be awarded to Brandt Tractor Ltd. It was moved and seconded That the contract for the purchase of two backhoe loaders and accessories be awarded to Brandt Tractor Ltd., Surrey, BC and further that the District of Maple Ridge enter into a contract to purchase the equipment for $181,326.00 plus HST of approximately $21,759.12, including extended warranty and optional items less trade in value for two units. He attended the Maple Ridge Home Show and a carnival held by Laity View Elementary School. Mayor Daykin reported on the float plane service to Vancouver and Victoria which will be provided at the Pitt Meadows Airport. Council Minutes May 10, 2011 Page 15 of 16 1500 COUNCILLORS’ REPORTS Councillor Morden Councillor Morden attended the Maple Ridge Home Show and meetings of the Pitt Meadows Airport Society, the Maple Ridge Community Heritage Committee and the Maple Ridge Downtown Business Improvement Association. He also attended the emergency preparedness workshop presented by the District. Councillor Morden will be participating in McHappy Day. Councillor King Councillor King attended meetings of the Fraser Valley Regional Library and the Maple Ridge Social Planning Advisory committee. She advised on a Grandmothers to Grandmothers meeting to be held at the Maple Ridge Library. Councillor Ashlie Councillor Ashlie attended meetings of the Literacy Committee, the Agricultural Advisory Committee and the Maple Ridge Social Planning Advisory Committee. She also attended the Maple Ridge Home Show and participated as a judge for speeches by Grade 7 students. Councillor Ashlie attended a Blues Night fundraiser for the Food Bank and the first official Farmers Market. Councillor Dueck Councillor Dueck attended the 30th Annual General Meeting of the Ridge Meadows Recycling Society, a transportation workshop and the Maple Ridge Home Show. She advised on the upcoming Real Estate Investment Network event and a presentation to be brought forwarded by Fraser Health. Councillor Hogarth Councillor Hogarth provided additional information on the Real Estate Investment Network. He will be participating in McHappy Day and encouraged all to contribute. He attended a Chamber of Commerce meeting. 1600 OTHER MATTERS DEEME DEEMED EXPEDIENT D – Nil 1700 NOTICES OF MOTION AND MATTERS FOR FUTURE MEETINGS – Nil Council Minutes May 10, 2011 Page 16 of 16 1800 QUESTIONS FROM THE PUBLIC Jacqu Jacques Blackstone es Mr. Blackstone expressed concern with the consulting group chosen to work on the new zoning bylaw and questioned how consultants are hired. He also expressed concern that representatives of the consulting group had questioned why the subject of RV’s had not been brought up. Mayor Daykin clarified that the new zoning bylaw is work of Council and that there will be a public process. 1900 ADJOURNMENT -8:10 p.m. _______________________________ E.
