that Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 6844-2011 to rezone from RS-3 (One Family Rural

the resolution. R/2012-321 802.1 Ban on Shark Fin Products It was moved and seconded AMENDED That staff be directed to prepare a bylaw to ban the sale, possession or consumption of
shark fin products in the Municipality of Maple Ridge. R/2012-322 802.2 Ban on Shark Fin Products It was moved and seconded AMENDMENT That the resolution be amended to replace the text

Act. CARRIED 804 Consultant Review of Service Delivery Options for Solid Waste and Recycling Collection Staff report dated July 9, 2012 recommending that the 2012 Financial Plan be

SD/075/07 located at 240 Street and 103 Avenue, be it resolved: 1. That the cost to provide the excess or extended services is, in whole or in part, excessive to the municipality and
that the cost to provide these services shall be paid by the owner of the land being developed, and 2. That Latecomer Charges be imposed for such excess or extended services on th the
parcels and in the amounts as e set out in the staff report dated July 9, 2012; and further 3. That the Corporate Officer be authorized to sign and seal Excess Capacity Latecomer Agreement

– Nil 1200 STAFF REPORTS – Nil 1300 RELEASE OF ITEMS FROM CLOSED COUNCIL – Nil 1400 MAYOR’S REPORT Mayor Daykin attended the Junior Firefighters graduation ceremony, a retirement party
for Surrey RCMP Assistant Commissioner Fraser MacRae and the unveiling of a Spirit of Wood carving honouring Brendan Morrison. He also attended the “Lift off to London” event and toured
with representatives of BC Homes.
Council Minutes July 10, 2012 Page 10 of 11 1500 COUNCILLORS’ REPORTS Councillor Masse Councillor Masse attended several events including the Adstock Festival. He spoke with a resident
regarding a complaint, talked with Jesse Sidhu from the Chamber of Commerce, had various conversations with citizens about concerns and complaints, reviewed current events prior to
Council, and met with the Chief Administration Officer. He drove to various sites in neighbourhoods with current development permit applications and met with residents of neighbourhoods
who have concern over increasing crime. Councillor Morden Councillor Morden attended a Council of Councils meeting hosted by Metro Vancouver, the grand opening of Thrifty’s and the
retirement party of Assistant Commissioner Fraser McRae. He also attended a Hammond Community Builder event. He reminded residents of the upcoming Caribbean Festival. Councillor Hogarth
Councillor Hogarth attended the retirement luncheon for Assistant Commissioner Fraser McRae, the Canada Day Celebration and the Youth Awards. He also attended the opening of Thrifty
Foods and the Council of Councils meeting. Councillor Bell Councillor Bell attended the Council of Councils meeting, a meeting of the Ridge Meadows Recycling Society, the Junior Firefighters
graduation ceremony and a tour sponsored by the Parks Department. Councillor Ashlie Councillor Ashlie attended the opening of Thrifty Foods, the Annual General Meeting at the Seniors’
Centre, a TransLink meeting and the Canada Day celebrations. She advised residents that the judging for the Front Yard Garden Competition is beginning. Councillor D Dueck ueck Councillor
Dueck attended the unveiling of a Spirit of Wood carving in honour of Brendan Morrison, the Thrifty Foods Opening, a Council of Councils Meeting and the Trejan Lodge Open House. She
spoke to the passing of retired RCMP Officer John Matthewson.
