The Minutes of the City Council Meeting held on Monday, November 29, 2016 at
10:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber of the City Hall, 11995 Haney Place, Maple
Ridge, British Columbia for the purpose of transacting regular City business.

2.0 ADOPTION OF THE AGENDA
The agenda was adopted as circulated.
3.0 2017-2021 BUS/NESS PLAN REVIEW
3.1 Corporate & Financial Services Division
The General Manager of Corporate and Financial Services presented the
Corporate Services and Financial Services Division business plans. Specific
managers responded to questions from Council.

It was moved and seconded
That staff bring back a report for increased policing/security in the Downtown
Core.

Councillor Duncan - OPPOSED
R/2016-532
It was moved and seconded
That staff include a line item in the business plan for development of a
Community Safety Plan.
CARRIED

3.2 Parks, Recreation and Culture division
The General Manager of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services reviewed
Division business plans.
Note: The meeting was recessed at 11:59 a.m. and reconvened at 12:20 p.m.
Councillor Robson was not in attendance at the start of the reconvened
meeting
The General Manager of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services and specific
managers responded to questions from Council related to their business plan.
Note: The meeting was recessed at 12:58 p.m. and reconvened at 1:38 p.m.
Councillor Robson rejoined the meeting.
