INFORMED: Sprinkling Regulations are in Effect We Love Water. Let’s Work Together to Conserve It! So far this year we’ve avoided the kind of drought we had last year, and based on the rainfall amounts and timing there really is no reason for you to have dragged out the hose and sprinkler unless you have a newly planted lawn. The weather looks like it’s shifting into summer mode, so it’s time to remind everyone about the Sprinkling Regulations; Residential Addresses: • Even-numbered addresses may sprinkle lawns from 4:00 - 9:00 am Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. • Odd-numbered addresses may sprinkle lawns from 4:00 - 9:00 am Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Non-Residential Addresses: • Even-numbered addresses may sprinkle lawns from 1:00 - 6:00 am Monday and Wednesday. • Odd-numbered addresses may sprinkle lawns from 1:00 - 6:00 am Tuesday and Thursday • All non-residential addresses can also sprinkle from 4:00 - 9:00 am Friday. • Newly turfed or seeded lawns may be sprinkled more frequently, provided a permit is fi rst obtained from the Engineering Department (with proof of seed/sod purchase). The cost of the permit is $30.00 for a three week period and is renewable once. Metro Vancouver has launched a great new program to help educate all residents on the value of our water and why conservation is critical. The link to the campaign can be found here metrovancouver.org/welovewater. If you are looking for more details on Stage One Water Conservation Guidelines go to mapleridge.ca and click on Hot Topics. This page is updated if the water restrictions elevate. Please do your part to conserve water this year.
