Christine Carter, Director of Planning provided background information on the proposed
Community Amenity Program.
Jim Charlebois, Manager Community Planning gave a presentation that provided Council
with a summary of the Maple Ridge Community Amenity Program staff report.
Council approved the recommendation for staff to obtain feedback from the community
regarding the draft CAC Council Policy.
Crime Free Multi-Housing Program
Robin MacNair, Manager of Bylaws and Licences made a presentation to Council re-
garding the Crime Free Multi-Housing Program which is a crime prevention program to
help property owners, building managers and residents of multi -housing properties pre-
vent or eliminate criminal and nuisance activity from their residence. Ms. MacNair pro-
vided further details on the program including the fees being charged and percentage
uptake in other municipalities.

Council passed a resolution to amend Bylaw No. 6815-2011 to charge a base licence
fee of $700 plus $40 per unit for buildings that are not certified under the Crime Free
Multi-Housing Program and a base licence fee of $110 plus $10 per unit for buildings
that are certified under the Crime Free Multi-housing Program and that this program be
reviewed in a year.
Medical Marihuana Dispensaries
Christine Carter, Director of Planning introduced this item. Council moved to receive the
staff report for information.
Hospital Parking
Councillor Bell provided background information regarding parking at Ridge Meadows
Hospital. It was decided that Mayor Read and Councillor Bell will meet with the Ministry
of Health to explore options for improvements to hospital parking.
Trail Infrastructure
Bruce McLeod, Manager of Parks Planning & Development provided Council with a
summary on the City’s trail infrastructure. Mr. McLeod also reviewed the 2016 Busi-
ness Plan Trail Map Project and provided an update on the Trail Signage Program
