Workshop at a Glance January 18, 2016  Administration  Strategic Partnerships  Staffing  Recreation Programming  Financials  Recreation Engagement and Promotions  Facility Bookings  Facilities  Inventory Management  Legal Requirements  Recreation Software  Memberships Council passed a motion that staff bring back a report on the implications and costs associated with continuing the arts and recreation programming function as a joint service until December 31, 2016. Council also passed a motion for staff to work with the City of Pitt Meadows staff to explore the development of an efficient process for future ice, field and facility allocations. The last motion Council passed was for staff to develop guiding principles that will inform the transition plan process. Please Note! Siobhan Murphy, Planner 2 provided Council with an overview of the goals of the Strategy, how the goals align with the City of Maple Ridge’s Housing Action Plan (HAP) as well as the future steps in the process for adopting the Strategy. Council passed a motion for staff to bring back the Draft Metro Vancouver Regional Affordable Housing Strategy report with an attached cover letter that summarizes Council’s comments regarding the items reviewed in this report. Maple Ridge Resiliency Initiative Update Kelly Swift, General Manager: Community Development, Parks & Recreation Services provided Council with a verbal report on the Maple Ridge Resiliency Initiative and sought clarification on the items Council would like to discuss at the January 25, 2016 Council Workshop meeting.
