Vancouver’s energy and climate change initiatives and the role of municipal
government:

Roger Quan, Director, Air Quality and Climate Changes
Elisa Campbell, Director, Regiional Planning
Jason Emmert, Air Quality Planner
Laura Benson, Manager of Sustainability & Corporate Planning and Maya Chorobik,
Research Technician provided Council with a presentation on the City’s energy and
emissions initiatives.

Remedial Action for the Removal of a Garage
located at 12061 Laity Street
Council passed a motion to declare the garage located at 12061 Laity Street a
hazardous condition and that the garage must be demolished within 30 days of the
owners receiving notice of this resolution from Council.
Community Heritage Meeting Options
Ceri Marlo, Manager of Legislative Services and Emergency Preparedness provided
Council with an update on the invitation to Council from the Thornhill Community
Executive to attend a “Getting to Know You” evening at the Thornhill Community Hall.
Council passed a motion to defer this item to a future meeting to allow Mayor Read to
investigate options for meeting with this association.
Pitt Meadows Airport Society
Ceri Marlo, Manager of Legislative Services and Emergency Preparedness provided
Council with background information on the history of the Pitt Meadows Regional
Airport and the role that the Cities of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows play in its
governance.
