Bruce Livingstone, Business Retention & Expansion Officer made a presentation to Council that reviewed the Albion Industrial Area Consultation Report. Council passed a resolution that the Albion Industrial Area be affirmed as a key industrial location and directed staff to continue to engage Albion Industrial Area stakeholders to develop solutions leading to increased economic activity and viability for businesses in the Albion area. Mr. Charlebois also provided Council with the options available as well as the process to amend the rates for the area covered by the Albion Density Bonus Framework. Council passed a resolution to amend the amounts that fall under Item 5a) “Density Bonus Framework” of the Community Amenity Contribution Program Policy. Letter to Minister Coleman Council passed a resolution to distribute a letter to Minister Coleman regarding homelessness in Maple Ridge.
