Council passed a resolution that directs staff to assist with finding a location for a Child Youth Wellness Centre and advocate for sustainable funding from other levels of government through the creation of briefing packages. Council also passed a resolution to provide $10,000 in seed funding from existing gaming fund allocations to achieve the first phase of this project. City Lands– Expression of Interest Kelly Swift, General Manager: Community Development, Parks & Recreation Services provided Council with information regarding BC Housing’s call for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to partner with municipalities, non-profit housing providers, community groups and the private sector to facilitate the creation of affordable housing for low -to-moderate income households. Council passed a resolution that directed staff to review the available municipal properties or potential properties that could be used in partnership with BC Housing and the non-profit housing sector for the provision of affordable housing and supportive housing. Council received the Town Centre Animation Plan report for information. Mobile Food Vendors in Maple Ridge Robin MacNair, Manager of Bylaws and Licensing, provided Council with an overview of the Mobile Food Vendors in Maple Ridge staff report. Council passed a resolution that directs staff to amend the Business Licence and Regulation Bylaw to allow food tuck vending on City property, including streets, for Council’s consideration. Council Meetings Ceri Marlo, Manager of Legislative Services and Emergency Program provided Council with information on the legislated requirements for meetings and recommended changes for Council’s consideration. Council passed a number of resolutions including;  Staff be directed to amend the Council Procedure Bylaw to include a consent agenda in the regular Council meeting agenda.  That a sub-committee (consisting of Mayor Read, Councillor Robson and Councillor Shymkiw) be formed to review the Council meeting process and the Regular Council Land Use Meeting process.
