Michelle Custodio, Illuminata Marketing made a presentation to Council that included the following information:  Introduction of Illuminata Marketing.  Overview of the approach to the branding review project.  Schedule for the project.  Proposal for online survey to capture the Metro Vancouver resident research. Council passed a resolution to conduct an online survey of Metro Vancouver residents as part of the branding review project. 2016 Residential Class Property Taxation Dan Olivieri, Administrative Assistant reviewed the 2016 Residential Class Property Taxation report with Council. Shawn Matthewson, Social Planning Analyst reviewed the staff report and highlighted the homelessness partnering funding and funding options that are available through Metro Vancouver. Council passed a resolution to rescind the motion deferred at the May 24, 2016 Council meeting directing staff to submit a Request for Qualifications to the Homelessness Partnering Strategy to host a Regional Summit on Homelessness. Council also passed a resolution for the City of Maple Ridge to apply for the Homelessness Partnering Strategy funding to provide a sub-regional planning focus on the issue of homelessness in suburban communities across Metro Vancouver. BC Housing Shelter Proposal Kelly Swift, General Manager: Community Development, Parks & Recreation Services reviewed the BC Housing Shelter Proposal report with Council. Council passed a resolution that directs staff to organized a forum to engage the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Association and the business and property owners adjacent to the existing shelter.
