Update on the Interim Modular Shelter and
Permanent Purpose Built Shelter Process
Shawn Matthewson, Social Planning Analyst reviewed the staff report with Council. Ted
Swabey, Chief Administrative Office reviewed the process to purchase the site and engage
the public on the site selection.
Council endorsed the updated process as outlined in the staff report dated July 11, 2016.
Environmental Management Strategy (EMS)
Implementation - Soil Deposit Bylaw Review
Mike Pym, Environmental Technician provided Council with an overview of the staff report.
Council endorsed the Soil Deposit Regulation Bylaw process as outlined in the
“Environmental Management Strategy Implementation – Maple Ridge Soil Deposit
Regulation Bylaw (No. 5763 -1999) Review” report.
Remaining 2016 Community Grant Budget
Trevor Thompson, Manager of Financial Planning reviewed the staff report with Council.
Council passed a resolution to allocate $10,000 for a Donor Recognition project from the
2016 Community Grants Budget.
