Mr. Dingwall provided a review of the Drinking Water Master Plan report to Council. Council endorsed the 2016 Drinking Water Master Plan and directed that any identified project upgrades, along with any Utility Rate adjustments, be brought forward for consideration as part of the 2018 Financial Plan. Sanitary Master Plan Update David Pollock, Municipal Engineer introduced this item and Joe Dingwall, Manager of Utility Engineering to Council. Mr. Dingwall provided an update on the Sanitary Master Plan to Council. Council endorsed the Sanitary Master Plan and directed that the identified project upgrades, along with any Utility Rate adjustments, be brought forward for consideration as part of the 2018 Financial Plan. Review of Purchasing Policy 5.45 Frank Quinn, General Manager: Public Works & Development Services introduced this item and commented on how it is a timely review as the last review was completed twelve years ago. Daniela Mikes, Manager of Procurement outlined the need to review the Purchasing Policy based on legislative changes, the Auditor General for Local Government’s focus on procurement in public sector agencies and the need for updates in today’s environment of procurement. Council passed a resolution that Purchasing Policy 5.45 be revised as discussed in the staff report dated January 16, 2017 and brought back for Council consideration.
