Robin MacNair, Manager of Bylaw & Licensing Services provided a review of the
Remedial Action for the Removal of Nuisance Vehicles Located at PID 012 -877-336
staff report which recommends that wrecked and unlicenced vehicles located on this
property be declared a nuisance and that the owner must remove the nuisance vehicles
no later than thirty days of receiving this resolution.
Community Safety Plan
Paul Gill, General Manager: Corporate and Financial Services presented the Community
Safety Plan to Council.
Council endorsed the process for the development of the Community Safety Plan.
Leisure Centre Accommodation Plan
Christa Balatti, Recreation Manager Health and Wellness and Kelly Swift, General
Manager: Parks, Recreation & Culture provided information on mitigating the impact of

supporting aquatics operations.
Council commented on the need to accommodate current programs and minimize
impacts to staff.
Options for Regulating Supportive Recovery
Homes, Transitional Housing, Assisted Living
Residences and Community Care Facilities
Christine Carter, Director of Planning provided information to Council on the options for
possible regulatory changes to the City of Maple Ridge Zoning Bylaw to address issues
stemming from existing and potentially new care facilities.
Council directed staff to prepare bylaw amendments and a Housing Agreement
template to regulate care facilities as identified in Option 1: Creation of Regulations for
uses with a maximum of 10 residents in the Policy and Regulations section of the staff
report.
