The Minutes of the Municipal Council Workshop held on January 9, 2012 at
9:00 a.m. in the Blaney Room of the Municipal Hall, 11995 Haney Place, Maple
Ridge, British Columbia for the purpose of transacting regular Municipal business.

Ms. Thompson gave a PowerPoint presentation providing an overview of the
role of BC Assessment and an explanation of the assessment notices for the
District of Maple Ridge.

The General Manager Public Works and Development Services reviewed the
staff report and letter.
Note: Councillor Dueck left the meeting at 10:03 a.m.

The Fire Chief/Director of Safety provided a verbal report on issues at property
at 21719 117 Avenue. He provided details on life and safety issues involving
the building on the property and the types of repairs which are required. He
advised that the building has been placed under a ‘no occupancy’ order.
Note: Councillor Dueck returned to the meeting at 10:37 a.m.

Councillor Ashlie requested information on the timeline for a presentation on
the Albion Flats Plan.
The Chief Administrative Officer advised that a staff report on the Albion Flats
Plan will be brought forward to Council at the January 23, 2012 Council
Workshop Meeting. He also advised that the Council Matrix will be presented
at the January 23, 2012 Workshop Meeting which will allow for prioritization
of items for 2012.
