He provided a chart outlining bear calls in the Maple Ridge area and provided information on the Bear Aware Program. He advised that the contact number for the Fraser Valley Zone Conservation Officer Service is 1-877-952-7277. 4.3 Bear Aware ProgramBear Aware ProgramBear Aware ProgramBear Aware Program ---- Presentation by Kim Day, Executive Director, Ridge Meadows Recycling Society Staff report dated April 2, 2012 providing information on the “Bear Aware Program”. The Director of Parks and Facilities reviewed the report. He provided an overview of the Bear Aware Program in Maple Ridge. The Executive Director of the Ridge Meadows Recycling Society gave a PowerPoint presentation outlining the steps for bear awareness the Society is focusing on and providing details on the Bear Aware Program. She gave a PowerPoint presentation which provided information on transfers, accumulated surplus, (revenue funds), reserve funds, reserve accounts and restricted revenues. The General Manager of Corporate and Financial Services reviewed the report.
