Read P. Gill, Chief Administrative Officer Councillor C. Bell K. Swift, General Manager of Parks, Recreation & Culture Councillor B. Masse F. Quinn, General Manager of Public Works and Councillor G. Robson Development Services Councillor T. Shymkiw T. Thompson, Interim Director of Finance Councillor C. Speirs D. Denton, Acting Corporate Officer ABSENT Councillor Duncan Note: These Minutes are also posted on the City’s Web Site at www.mapleridge.ca Note: Councillor Shymkiw participated in the meeting via telephone link. 1.0 CALL TO ORDER 2.0 APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA R/2018-109 It was moved and seconded That the agenda for the February 27, 2018 Special Council Meeting be approved. CARRIED 3.0 NOTICE OF CLOSED COUNCIL MEETING R/2018-110 It was moved and seconded That the meeting following this meeting at 6:00 p.m. be closed to the public pursuant to Sections 90 (1) and 90 (2) of the Community Charter as the subject matter being considered relates to the following: Special Council Meeting Minutes February 27, 2018 Page 2 of 2 Section 90(1)(e) The disposition of land if the council considers that disclosure might reasonably be expected to harm the interests of the municipality. Section 90(1)(f) Law enforcement, if the council considers that disclosure might reasonably be expected to harm the conduct of an investigation under or enforcement of an enactment. Section 90(1)(g) Litigation or potential litigation affecting the municipality. Section 90(1)(i) Receipt of advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose. Section 90(2)(b) The consideration of information received and held in confidence relating to negotiations between the municipality and a provincial government. Any other matter that may be brought before the Council that meets the requirements for a meeting closed to the public pursuant to Sections 90 (1) and 90 (2) of the Community Charter or Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
