REPORT OF PUBLIC HEARING
February 18, 2020
The Minutes of the Public Hearing held in the Council Chamber of City Hall, 11995 Haney
Place, Maple Ridge, British Columbia on February 18, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

*Note: Councillor Robson was not in attendance at the start of the meeting.
Mayor Morden called the meeting to order. The Deputy Corporate Officer explained the
procedure and rules of order of the Public Hearing and advised that the bylaws will be
considered further at the next Council Meeting on February 25, 2020.
Councillor Robson entered the meeting at 7:02 p.m.

Proposed Revisions to the Development Permit Process
Maple Ridge Official Community Plan Amending Bylaw No. 7594-2019
To amend the Official Community Plan in order to expedite the issuance of
Development Permits.
The Director of Planning provided a verbal presentation to Council detailing the
amendments to the bylaw.
The Mayor called for speakers three times.
There being no comment, the Mayor declared this item dealt with.

Lot “A” District Lot 278 Group 1 New Westminster District Plan 76445
Maple Ridge Zone Amending Bylaw No. 7601-2019
To amend the Zoning Bylaw for a site specific text amendment to the Service
Commercial CS-1 zone, to allow for a physiotherapy and registered massage therapy
clinic.
The Deputy Corporate Officer advised that 18 notices were sent out and no
correspondence was received in response on this item.
The Director of Planning gave a detailed description providing information on the
application.
The Mayor called for speakers three times.
There being no comment, the Mayor declared this item dealt with.
Having given all those persons whose interests were deemed affected by the matters
contained herein a chance to be heard, the Mayor adjourned the Public Hearing at 7:06 p.m.
