APPROVAL OF THE AGENDA R/2020-437 It was moved and seconded That the agenda of the November 3, 2020 Special Council Workshop Meeting be approved as circulated. CARRIED 2. UNFINISHED AND NEW BUSINESS 2.1 Metro Vancouver Regional Growth Strategy (“RGS”) Presentation • Erin Rennie, Senior Planner, Project Manager Regional Growth Strategy Ms. Rennie provided a detailed presentation on the Metro Vancouver Regional Growth Strategy 2050 process and plan, and responded to questions from Council. Special Council Workshop Minutes November 3, 2020 Page 2 of 2 2.2 Short Term Rental Options Staff report dated November 3, 2020 recommending that staff implement specific options for short-term rentals and prepare a regulatory and enforcement framework for short-term rentals in Maple Ridge. K. Gowan, Planner, provided a detailed presentation and staff responded to questions from Council. R/2020-438 Moved and seconded That staff be directed to proceed with option 1, implementing specific options for short-term rentals, outlined in the November 3, 2020 report titled "Short- Term Rental Options", and prepare a regulatory and enforcement framework for short-term rentals in Maple Ridge. CARRIED 2.3 Board of Variance Review Staff report dated November 3, 2020 providing background and clarification of the role of the Board of Variance. The Director of Planning and Development Services spoke to the staff report and provided clarification to Council. Staff responded to questions from Council. 5. CORRESPONDENCE – Nil 6.
